“The High School Journalist’s Guide to the 21st Century”

Our keynote speaker will be Robert K. Elder, a regional editor for the AOL Huffington Post Media Group’s hyper-local journalism initiative Patch.com in Chicago. Elder teaches multimedia journalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School and his work has appeared in The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Salon.com and many other publications. Elder is also the author of several books including “Last Words of the Executed” and “The Film That Changed My Life.” You can read more about Robert K. The conference will include more than 30 individual sessions including ones on design trends, newsroom leadership, covering local politics, and convergence journalism for your high school publication.
