Windy City event brings together students and alumni

The primary purpose of the Connecting Students & Alumni in the Windy City event is to provide an opportunity for current students to gain career and professional development information and to begin expanding their network by interacting with alumni. At this year’s event, more than 90 students were able to attend different panels with nearly 50 College of Media alumni.

Kissel to speak at 2018 Convocation

The College of Media is pleased to announce that Dave Kissel, a 1985 journalism graduate, will be the alumni speaker at the College of Media Convocation ceremony on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He has built a distinguished career in marketing, advertising and sports for Fortune 500 clients by leading high-impact teams at world-class agencies and media companies.

Lyndsay Gant '07 MACS

After working in digital and video advertising for almost 9 years in both the consumer and healthcare fields, Gant has been accepted to be the Program Director of Video Production for Northwestern University Healthsystem, creating custom content for over 10 hospitals in the Chicagoland area.

Investigative series published by IJEC

"The Multimillion-Dollar Head Fake," the investigative series written by Media & Cinema Studies Professor Jay Rosenstein, has been selected for publication by the Investigative Journalism Education Consortium.  The series, the result of three years of investigative research, takes a detailed look at the inner-workings of the finances of the U of I's athletic department.  It's been published here
