BrEpic wins prestigious Silver Trumpet award from Publicity Club of Chicago
Justin Breen, the Founder/CEO of BrEpic Communications LLC and Journalism Chair for the University of Illinois College of Media Alumni Board, won a Silver Trumpet award from the Publicity Club of Chicago at the 59th annual Golden Trumpet Awards competition on May 22.
The competition, held at Chicago’s Palmer House Hilton, featured entries from the greater Chicagoland area, and is known as the premier public relations industry award program in the Midwest.
BrEpic won a Silver Trumpet award in Media Relations for a media campaign promoting BrEpic client Chicago Academy for the Arts, a private high school in Chicago. A story subject for the client — senior student Zachary Jeppsen — appeared in numerous mainstream media publications, including the front page of the Chicago Tribune, plus WCIU TV, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Dance Magazine, and several other outlets.
“It’s a tremendous honor to win such a prestigious award in BrEpic’s first year of business,” Breen said.
BrEpic clients include Allstate, McCormick Foundation, Salvation Army, LISC Chicago, Bottom Line Chicago, A Better Chicago and Burwood Group. BrEpic’s newest client is the University of Illinois’ Gies College of Business, which signed with BrEpic on May 22.
Breen is a 1999 journalism graduate of the College of Media and a regular volunteer with the College organizing career events for students. Congratulations Justin!
