EBERTFEST ANNOUNCES FINAL SLATE OF FILMS AND SPECIAL GUESTS FOR 2016 FESTIVAL

CHAMPAIGN, ILL – March 23, 2016 – The 18th Annual Roger Ebert’s Film Festival hosted by Chaz Ebert, also known as ‘Ebertfest,’ announced today the final slate of films in this year’s festival.

Illinois Public Media receives grant to support Illinois Newsroom from the McCormick Foundation

Illinois Public Media has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the Robert R. McCormick Foundation through their Democracy Program to support Illinois Newsroom (working title) in strengthening its digital journalism model and regional engagement over the first two years.

Advertising faculty and students participate in conference

Several advertising faculty and doctoral students in the College of Media will be presenting academic papers, leading the pre-conference sessions, serving as experts on panels, and moderating sessions at the American Academy of Advertising Annual Conference March 17 – 20.

Associate Professor Michelle Nelson is president elect of the organization.
