Feel secure in your retirement years and benefit the College of Media in the future
Did you know you can make a gift to the University of Illinois Foundation to establish a charitable gift annuity, or CGA, in exchange for dependable income payouts for life? A CGA is a safe and simple way to make a gift that provides you and/or another beneficiary steady payments for life while supporting the College of Media in the future.
How it works:
- You make an irrevocable gift of cash/securities to UIF to establish a CGA ($10,000 minimum)
- You will receive a partial income tax charitable deduction now if you itemize
- UIF will make regular payments to you and/or another beneficiary for life with a portion being tax-free for your estimated life expectancy.
- If you donate appreciated assets, you may save on capital gains taxes as well.

*Some limitations apply with the QCD-CGA. Also, please note UIF does not issue CGAs in all states because of regulation requirements. Rates are subject to change. If you are under age 60 or don’t need income now, consider establishing a deferred gift annuity. The longer you delay payments, the higher the rate.
