The Flatlands Dance Film Festival is dedicated to supporting and presenting the art of dance cinema, a medium that explores and innovates the intersections between filmmaking and dance making. Jenny Oyallon-Koloski, assistant professor of media and cinema studies, was one of three adjudicators who determined the 20 short dance films from various countries that will be shown. The evening exemplifies and redefines the choreographic possibilities of cinema and the choreographic potential of dance itself.
