Make a difference today and save on taxes with a gift from your IRA
Join other alumni and friends who have discovered the benefits and ease of using their IRA to support the College of Media at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free distribution from your individual retirement account (IRA) to the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF Tax ID 37-6006007) for the benefit of the College of Media.
The qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows you to direct your IRA custodian to transfer up to $111,000 (adjusted annually for inflation) each year to a qualifying charity like UIF without incurring income tax on your withdrawal—reducing your taxable income. If you are required to take minimum distributions, you may satisfy all or part of your obligation.
Your gift goes to work today providing students with an exceptional experience at Illinois!
You can also use a QCD to establish a gift that pays you a stream of income for life and later benefits the College of Media! (Some rules apply. Contact us for more details and a personalized illustration.)
