Since 2004, the True/False Documentary Film Festival has emerged as an innovative and exciting space for recent non-fiction Cinema. Set in Columbia, MO, True/False has challenged, confirmed and expanded the very idea of the Documentary form.

The University of Illinois and the College of Media are hosting an Experiential Learning opportunity that will bring students directly to this unique cinematic destination. Those in attendance will encounter, not simply an investigation into evolving approaches, unexpected subjects and filmmaking innovations, but a complete, five-day Festival Experience. Students will attend Documentary panels, events with Filmmakers and Neither/Nor, an essential showcase for specific topics and the creative personalities who explore them.

The True/False Experience is a First-Eight-Week Class culminating in a chartered coach trip to Columbia, MO. Departure is Wed. Feb.27th to return on Sunday, March 3rd. Please enroll for this singular University Experiential course. Like the Festival itself, it my change the way you look at the world.
