Advertising Industry Immersion and Cultural Intelligence

This industry immersion course will help students gain insight into the advertising industry and the cities of Portland and Seattle. Students will meet with industry professionals and executives in the advertising and media industries to disucss how culture and brands impact each other - as well as learn more industry best practices, opportunities available in the advertising/media industry, and successful strategies for obtaining and building careers. It will also introduce introductory concepts on developing cultural intelligence as it relates to brands, industry and cities themselves. 

Potential industry visits include Adidas, Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Wieden+Kennedy, R/GA, Downstream, Instrument and Google.

  • Daily meals, arrival flight to Portland, and return flight from Seattle is not included in the course fee
