The 18th Annual Roger Ebert’s Film Festival has received a 2016 grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The festival, also known as “Ebertfest,” received the grant during a star-studded HFPA grants dinner banquet at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Aug. 13.

Owen Kulemeka ’11 Ph. D., public relations assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. 

Dean Jan Slater said, "Owen was a special person. He was a gifted teacher and a respected colleague. We are fortunate that he was part of our college and our lives. He will be missed."
