Hogue receives career services award

Jessica Hogue, Director of Career Services in the College of Media, has received the Outstanding New Career Services Professional Award from the Hire Big10+ Consortium.

The Outstanding New Career Services Professional Award recognizes individuals for exceptional service or special accomplishments in Career Services. This award, along with $1,000 to put towards professional development, is presented to a new professional within the Hire Big 10+ career services community who:

  • Has been in Career Services full time for four years or less
  • Is viewed as a promising future leader within Career Services 
  • Is innovative, creative and delivers outstanding service to students and/or the Career Services field

The Hire Big10+ Consortium is made up of the 14 Big Ten schools, Notre Dame, University of Chicago and DePaul.

Her nominators stated, “She is a strong, creative, thoughtful leader who works with outstanding efficiency and is committed to career and professional development for students.” 

“Winning this award means so much to me,” Hogue said. “I have put a tremendous amount of time and effort into making Media Career Services successful over the last two years, and it is a very special moment when you realize that your colleagues took notice of the hard work and dedication that has gone into doing the job well. I feel very fortunate to work with people that recognize my efforts and encourage me to keep thinking bigger.”
