"Creative Concepting"
Learn how agencies come up with ideas for creative campaign - process, roles, techniques and tips - then break into teams and create an ad yourselves, with guidance from current ad students.

"On Air, Online, On Deadline!"
During this hands-on session, students will have an opportunity to anchor their own newsbreaks, work the teleprompter or cameras, interview University of Illinois students and each other, and post to social media outlets such as Twitter, Instagram or a Mediapalooza blog.

Media and Cinema Studies
“Introducing Illinifest 2018: MACS’ Film Festival in Sound & Image” 
After a brief overview of the Illinifest Student Film Festival, students will split into groups and work with current students to create a mini trailer for Illinifest 2018. Prospective students can choose from three available roles: interviewer, camera operator or sound equipment operator. In addition to recording interviews, students will shoot video of specified locations on campus. Current students will then assemble the video to be posted online.
