Sparks ’77 JOURN, publishes second book

“Holy Shakespeare!” Maisie Sparks’ second book, will be released in October of this year by Hachette Book Group (New York), a division of Hachette Livre, the third largest publishing company in the world. Her first book, “151 Things God Can’t Do,” was released in October of last year, and a third, “Christmas Quiet,” will be in book stores in November of this year.

Hsu '93 JOURN, named 4 p.m. anchor at ABC7 Chicago

ABC7 Chicago has announced that Judy Hsu will take on the 4 p.m. news achor role with the retirement of Linda Yu. Hsu has been with the station since 2001. She will work alongside Rob Elgas beginning November 24.

Quijano ‘95 to moderate vice presidential debate

Elaine Quijano of CBS News will moderate the 2016 vice presidential debate. It will take place on Oct. 4 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

Quijano is weekday anchor on CBSN and also anchors the Sunday CBS Weekend News. As a correspondent with CBS News, her reports regularly appear on “CBS This Morning,” “The CBS Evening News” and “CBS Sunday Morning.”
