Delaney"Mediapalooza was a game-changer for me. Every school provides the opportunity to look at their school through photos online and in brochures, but only at an event like Mediapalooza did I find the opportunity to get a first-hand look at what the College of Media is like. I went into Mediapalooza unsure of why I would attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for journalism, and came out of Mediapalooza with the decision made that I would be attending the school in the fall." -- Delaney, freshman in journalism

Daniel Stillman"Mediapalooza confirmed to me that the College of Media at the University of Illinois was going to be the place I was going to spend the next chapter of my life at. It also convinced my parents that I would be getting a world-class education from the College of Media. It was so cool learning about the clubs within the College of Media I can get involved with the moment I started school. The best part was meeting my future classmates and eventually my new friends with the same major. I couldn't wait to get back to the College of Media that next fall." -- Daniel, senior in advertising

Jacob"Mediapalooza was a turning point for me. Before I attended Mediapalooza last year, I wasn't really considering U of I. My time at Mediapalooza helped me feel like a part of something, not just another student. I met a few professors, a few students, and they all were very welcoming and immediately made me feel like I belonged. It was also a great opportunity to try my hand at something new. I never did any broadcast work before college and getting to be part of a newscast was a new and exciting experience." -- Jacob, junior in journalism

Foster"My senior year, I felt lost in limbo. I had no idea what university I would call home. Every previous visit, every previous tour, felt like a blur. But then, I attended Mediapalooza. ... Immediately, I fell in love with the College of Media. I realized that my attendance would provide me the best of both worlds: an intimate, individualized college within a large, diverse university campus. At every other school I visited, I feared that my face would just get lost in the mass. I didn't know if I would be able to stand out and build relationships with my professors. While attending Mediapalooza, however, I realized that wouldn't be a problem at the College of Media." -- Sarah, Senior in Journalism
