Helping to build skills and tenacity in high school journalists for generations.

Keynote Address:

Ted Land

Ted Land is a multimedia video journalist at KING 5 News, where he shoots, writes, and edits stories on a wide range of topics. Land previously worked in Anchorage, South Bend, Reno, and Chicago. He has earned three Emmy awards for his solo video journalism and a National Edward R. Murrow award for writing.

Land recently travelled to Korea as a 2016 East-West Center journalists exchange fellow. He visited newsrooms and learned how journalists are covering an important and at times politically volatile part of the world, where North Korea is a constant threat.

He lives in Seattle, and spends a lot of time in the kitchen testing recipes and making a huge mess.
