The Department of Journalism’s undergraduate program is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. That means the department participates in a rigorous process of self-study and external review—essentially a quality check—every six years, during which the curriculum, faculty, diversity, facilities and other aspects of the program are evaluated.

Accredited programs like ours track and publish data related to freshman retention and graduation rates. You can see our most recent data here.
