Anderson Cobb is Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Coronavirus News Collaboration Challenge Grantee
Nicole Anderson Cobb (MS '16, journalism) is a recipient of the 2020 Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Coronavirus News Collaboration Challenge Grant.
The project is a collaboration of 16 journalists and a project team representing 13 publications across the state of Illinois who will be writing about the impact of COVID-19 on arts organizations. To date, this is the first such project that the Pulitzer Center has funded nationally.
Anderson Cobb is serving as the dedicated journalist for Smile Politely, which has been designated as a Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Grantee for the Prairie State Museums Project.
So far, her reporting on the impact of COVID-19 on Champaign County museums includes how Krannert Art Museum has reached diverse communities, as well as an examination of race relations and Champaign County museum archives housed at the Museum of the Grand Prairie in Mahomet, Illinois:
