Ellis featured in cover story of 'Illinois Field & Bean' magazine

Stu Ellis (BS '70, MS '72, radio and TV) was featured in the October cover story of Illinois Field & Bean, the monthly magazine of the Illinois Soybean Association that focuses on industry influencers. The magazine cover shows Ellis finishing up a TV shoot at Decatur's Progress City, for which he was responsible in assembling, to bring the Farm Progress Show to Central Illinois every other year. It is the nation's largest outdoor farm exposition.

Ellis has been an ag communicator for nearly 50 years in radio, television, and other industries serving agriculture. Currently, he produces daily farm programs on WCIA in Champaign (Channel 3) , along with a new half-hour weekly farm program. He also does daily radio programs on several Central Illinois radio stations, and has written a weekly farm column for the Decatur Herald & Review for over 20 years. He writes a weekly farm management and marketing newsletter, which is in is 24th year, that is branded for many banks and other commercial entities to send to their farm clientele.
