West's debut novel selected for USA Today book list

Catherine Adel West (BS '02, MS '04, journalism) has been garnering praise for her debut novel, Saving Ruby King, which was featured on USA Today's hottest new book releases for the week of June 15. West was also interviewed about her book and the importance of inclusive publishing by Parade. Kirkus Reviews describes her book as a “multilayered love letter to South Side Chicago’s African American faith-based community.”
