Wood wins Mid-America Emmy
Alison Davis Wood (BS '91, MS '11, journalism) won a National Academy of Televisions Arts and Sciences Mid-America Emmy in the arts/entertainment program feature/segment for "Illinois Artists: Endalyn Taylor," produced for the Big Ten Network.
The team that worked on the video included producers Wood, Kaitlin Southworth, and Tim Hartin, along with executive producers Kent Brown (BS ’87, journalism), Robin Kaler (BS ’83, MS ’92, journalism), and E. Todd Wilson (MS ’03, journalism). Wood has won a total of seven regional Emmy Awards and received more than 20 Emmy nominations.
The video features Endalyn Taylor, professor of dance at Illinois. Raised on the south side of Chicago, Taylor left home at age 16 to become a principal dancer and tour the world with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She has also performed on Broadway in the original cast of The Lion King.
