Wine-Banks memoir to become film, launches second podcast

Jill Wine-Banks (BS '64, journalism), author of The Watergate Girl, will see her memoir become a film. The book, which was released in trade paperback in March, was optioned for a film produced by and starring Katie Holmes. Wine-Banks, who won the 2019 Chicago Illini of the Year award, is the only woman to serve on the Watergate prosecution team and is an MSNBC Legal Analyst.

Wine-Banks has also launched a second podcast called #SistersInLaw, co-hosted by Wine-Banks, Kimberly Atkins, Barb McQuade, and Joyce Vance. #SistersInLaw is a roundtable-style podcast featuring a conversation between the four legal heavyweights discussing legal issues of the week in a fun and accessible manner. She also co-hosts "Intergenerational Politics" with Victor Shi, a freshman at UCLA. The two have interviewed former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, several senators and representatives, John Brennan, Mary Trump, James Comey, Kathy Griffin, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Paul Krugman, Lawrence O'Donnell, Alicia Menendez, Anthony Scaramucci, and many others.
