Research/ Creative Endeavor
Veronica Paredes is a media arts scholar/practitioner. Her research and teaching interests include reconfigured urban spaces, feminist digital practices in pedagogy and collective organizing, digital media historiography and multimodal forms of scholarship. She is an active member of FemTechNet and Situated Critical Race + Media (SCR+M). As an NCSA faculty affiliate, she leads the Experimental Media Arts Lab (XMAL) at NCSA. She is also currently working on a book project about cinema’s recycled spaces in contemporary mediascapes.
